The Oklahoma wrestling team released its 2003-2004 schedule Monday. Oklahoma will host eight home duals as well as the Oklahoma Open tournament during the upcoming season. All home duals are scheduled to be held at McCasland Fieldhouse.

"We always have one of the nation's most challenging schedules," Oklahoma wrestling coach Jack Spates said. "High points will include both Bedlam matches, the Big 12 Championships, National Duals and the NCAA tournament."

The Sooners begin the season when they travel to Brockport, N.Y., on November 15 for the fifth annual Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic. They have claimed the team title at each of the four previous classics.

Oklahoma's first home dual is November 20, versus Missouri Valley, and the Sooners will host the annual Oklahoma Open on Nov. 29. Cal Poly and Fresno State pay return visits to Norman on January 10 after the Sooners visited both teams last season.

The Sooners will be at home for five straight duals in late January and early February, beginning Jan. 24 versus Arizona State and ending February 8 with a Bedlam matchup versus Oklahoma State. The Sooners will also host Iowa State (Jan. 30), Michigan State (Jan. 31) and North Carolina State (Feb. 6) during the homestand.

Oklahoma will finish its regular season on the road with duals against conference rivals Nebraska (Feb. 20) and Missouri (Feb. 22). The Sooners will also compete at the Missouri Open (Nov. 23), Lone Star Duals (Jan. 3) and National Duals (Jan. 17-18). The team will also visit in-state opponent Oklahoma State December 7 and travel to Edmond December 12 for duals with Bacone College and the University of Central Oklahoma.

The 2004 Big 12 tournament is scheduled for March 6 in Ames, Iowa. The 2004 NCAA tournament will be March 18-20 in St.Louis. Oklahoma placed third at both tournaments last season.
