OU Women's Home Opener Set For Sunday

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma women's gymnastics team will compete in their 2001 home opener against Missouri Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

OU is coming off a seven-meet roadstand in which the team compiled a 9-4 record and a No. 18 national ranking. The Sooners are led by sophomore Leticia Ishii, two-time Big 12 Gymnast of the Week in 2001, and junior Mariana Goncalves, who tied the school record with a 9.975 on the uneven parallel bars on Jan. 27.

The top-ranked men's team (6-1) will competing at the same time as well when it takes on No. 11 Nebraska.

The Lloyd Noble Center is located at the southwest intersection of Jenkins Ave. and Imhoff Rd., just north of Highway 9, in Norman.
