NORMAN, Okla. - The Big 12 Conference office announced today its 2000 men's and women's all-conference tennis teams. Five different players from the University of Oklahoma were named to the list. The all-conference teams were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.

For the men, senior Dusty Beard (Tulsa, Okla.) was named to the all-conference singles team for the third time in as many years. The senior from Tulsa, Okla. is currently ranked 92nd in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and recently received an at-large bid to participate in this year's NCAA Singles Championship. Beard primarily played at the No. 1 singles position posting a 7-4 record in the league and an overall mark of 19-10. He was recently named Big 12 Player of the Week after defeating Baylor's 23rd-ranked Johann Jooste.

Seniors Charlie Roberson (San Angelo, Texas) and Rick Warren (Austin, Texas) were named to the all-conference doubles team for the first time. The duo played at the No. 1 doubles position earning a 14-10 record and were ranked as high as 30th in the country. They posted an overall record of 20-14 and will represent the University of Oklahoma at the NCAA Doubles Championship.

On the women's team, junior Viviana Mracnova (Zvolen, Slovakia) was named to the all-conference singles team for the first time in her Sooner career. The junior from Zvolen, Slovakia was OU's No. 1 singles player who earned an overall record of 16-12.

Mracnova and senior Anglea Stroup (Tulsa, Okla.) were named to the all-conference doubles team. It was Mracnova's third such honor and Stroup's first. The duo is ranked 47th in the country and will participate in the NCAA Doubles Championship. They compiled a 14-5 record at the No. 1 doubles position and an overall record of 16-6. Mracnova and Stroup were solid in conference play, going 11-3.
