September Promotions Set for Volleyball

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball returns to McCasland Field House Sept. 6 against Arkansas and the Sooners have several great promotions lined up for the month. A total of six home matches are set for the month and OU hosts the Oklahoma Invitational Sept. 16-17 with Texas Southern, Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Boise State.

Fifty cent hot dogs and Cokes return on Sept. 6 vs. Arkansas at 7 p.m. The first 250 fans receive an OU water bottle and the hot dogs and Cokes are available as long as supplies last. Tuesday is designated as Camper Reunion Day and the team will sign autographs after the match.

The Sooners open the Oklahoma Invitational on Friday, Sept. 16 against Texas Southern. The match will honor Hispanic Heritage Day and the first 250 fans receive an OU koozie.

On Saturday, 250 free OU felt flags are available at the first match against UALR. The Sooners will also honor OU faculty and staff at the match.

During the nightcap, 150 free mini megaphones are available on Cheer Like a Champion night against Boise State.

Oklahoma faces Texas on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. CT in a nationally-televised match against Texas. The first 750 fans receive an OU eco-friendly tote bag and OU students get pizza as long as supplies last.

OU will hold its annual Pledge for a Cure event that night with donations being taken for the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. More information regarding the Pledge for a Cure event will be announced at a later date.
