NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma senior Witt Durden has accepted the invitation to compete in the NWCA All-Star Classic on Feb. 3 at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center at 8 p.m. This will be Durden's second consecutive year to compete in this event, which is being hosted by the Delaware Wrestling Alliance.
Durden, the current Big 12 Wrestler of the Week, recorded his 100th career win on Sunday against Missouri's Chris McCormick in a 23-8 technical fall. Durden currently holds a 16-3 record and the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold title.
Second-ranked Durden will wrestle Kevin Black from Wisconsin. Black is ranked fourth and is a returning All-American. Black finished fourth at last year's NCAA tournament behind Durden, who scored a 14-6 major decision in the consolation finals.
