NORMAN, Okla. -- The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has announced the top vote-getters for the first year of WBCA Superlatives.

Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale was named the Best Dressed Coach in Division I.

The WBCA Superlatives were voted on by the WBCA membership.

"The WBCA is excited to announce the inaugural year of the WBCA Superlatives," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. "It is a bit 'orange' this year, but I am certain with the growing popularity of the sport, it will be a source of pride for our membership to get more involved. Often times with fan voting it can become a popularity contest, but we hope that this will grow and more members will get involved in the nomination and voting process. Congratulations to this year's winners!"

Tennessee won the most superlative awards, including best rivalry with Connecticut.

Nominees for WBCA Superlative were selected by the WBCA membership. The top vote-getters for each superlative were then voted on through a balloting process, with the top vote-getter for each category being named the winner. Superlatives with two recipients listed ended in a tie for first place.

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game in all of its aspects as a sport for women and girls. For more information about the WBCA, please visit
