NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team lost its Big 12 opener on the road, falling to No. 14 Texas, 7-0, on Friday in Austin, Texas. Oklahoma falls to 5-3 on the season and 0-3 against ranked opponents. The Longhorns improve to 11-0 on the year and are off to the best start in school history.

The Sooner's Oliver Girardot started out strong at No. 5 singles winning the first set 6-4, but The Longhorns Alastair Jenkin won the next two to take the match. At No. 3 doubles, OU's duo of Sebastian Revol and Brad Prigmore gave Jose Zarhi and Roger Gabser a challenge, but lost 8-3.

Oklahoma returns to action tomorrow against No. 24 Texas A&M. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the Texas A&M Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
