Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale

On the game:
"Colorado is a very good basketball team, and this was a quality win for our program tonight. I don't think we played particularly well. We played well enough to win and we did some very good things, we had some periods when we were flat."

On OU's defense:
"We battled on the backboard really hard and did a great job of out rebounding a team that is significantly bigger than we are. I thought we defended the heck out of them. They are really good offensively, averaging about 80 points a game."

On the Big 12:
"You learn in a league that is loaded with so many talented teams not to ever take one for granted. They can't all be pretty. You win them how you can win them and take them one at a time.

On OU's rebounding:
"I think our rebounding and the utilization of our athleticism on the offensive end made the difference. They had trouble staying in front of us and we got rhythm shots and that kind of blew the game open early.

Senior Guard LaNeishea Caufield

On her ability to play down low:
"I try to use my quickness to draw my defender out of the lane and get around them (to the basket).

Senior Guard Rosalind Ross

On her performance:
"Coach Coale got on to me and told me to go out there and play the way I'm capable of playing. She also told me to show some attitude.

On LaNeishea Caufield:
"LaNeishea just has game. She can play defense and offense. I hate guarding her in practice but fortunately we are usually on the same team so I don't have to worry about it. I just love playing with her and Caton as well. I like to watch LaNeishea and see what she is going to do with the ball."

Junior Forward Caton Hill

On Rosalind Ross:
"Every time Ross shoots the ball we all think it's going to go in. She has got the green light from me to shoot."

On OU's guards:
"The guards did a great job tonight. It was a good win for us because Colorado is such a good team."

Colorado Post-game Quotes

Head Coach Ceal Barry
On the game:
"Tonight I was proud that our team didn't quit. I told them that it's a 40-minute game and that we needed to play through Oklahoma's runs. I felt like we had a chance to get back into the game until (LaNeishea) Caufield intercepted that pass after the media timeout with about five minutes left in the game."

On Oklahoma's different weapons:
"As far as OU is concerned, they're a great ball club. They're consistent and have a lot of different weapons. They can score pretty consistently from all five positions. It was difficult for us to match up with them. I noticed that (Stacey) Dales doesn't look to score as much as (Caton) Hill and (LaNeishea) Caufield do. She is more concerned with distributing the basketball. We knew (Rasalind) Ross could shoot the ball. She really hurt us last year in the Big 12 Tournament and she did it again tonight."

On Caton Hill and LaNeishea Caufield:
"Hill's got great mental toughness and she always plays hard for them. Caufield is a serious weapon for them and someone who we were very aware of coming into this game."

Senior Guard Mandy Nightingale
On Caufield:
"She makes a big impact for their team. She's a very sly player. She uses her quickness very well. She makes really good moves and can take over a game."

Sophomore Center Tera Bjorkland

On not having second-chance points:
"That has a lot to do with their physical play and that is something we are working on and will continue to work on if we want to improve our game."
