NORMAN, Okla. - The 22nd-ranked University of Oklahoma volleyball team won a close-fought five-set battle Wednesday evening as the Sooners downed Missouri  (25-12, 25-17, 21-25, 22-25, 15-7).

OU won the first set easily, downing Missouri 25-12. The second set was closer, but the Sooners managed to pull off the win 25-17. Oklahoma let the third set get away, falling to the Tigers 21-25 after 11 tie scores and three lead changes. They also had trouble in the fourth set, finally dropping it 22-25. OU sealed its eighth consecutive win, taking the fifth set 15-7. 

Senior Brianne Barker recorded her 70th career double-double, with 48 assists and 17 digs. Barker also contributed two block assists and a block solo.

Freshman Tara Dunn also had a double-double, registering her fifth of the season with 13 kills and 16 digs. Senior Suzy Boulavsky led the team in kills with 19. She also had five block assists. Sophomore Sallie McLaurin was the team leader in blocks, with seven block assists and one block solo. Maria Fernanda led the team in digs with 31.

As a team, Oklahoma hit a .287 clip, led by Boulavsky's .529 hitting percentage. Boulavsky had just one error in 34 attempts.

Molly Kreklow led Missouri, recording the team's only double-double with 42 assists and 12 digs. Lisa Henning contributed 16 kills and Whitney Little had four block assists. Kreklow also added four block assists.
