FULLERTON, Calif. The No. 14 Oklahoma softball team had its final game at the Judi Garman Classic canceled Saturday evening due to rain. The Sooners were slated to play Cal State Fullerton in the consolation bracket game, but the two squads were only able to play one full inning before the rain hit.
The Sooners finished the tournament with a 2-2 overall mark and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Championship bracket. Oklahoma posted a 4-1 win over Utah and a 4-3 victory over No. 24 Fresno State while dropping losses to No. 6 Alabama (5-0) and a close 7-6 game to No. 18 Texas A&M.
Next, the Sooners will hit the road again for a game against North Texas this Wednesday, March 22 at 6 p.m. in Denton, Texas. Following the game against UNT, Oklahoma will open conference action with a home series against Missouri March 25-26. The Sooners will face the Tigers at 1 p.m. on Saturday followed by a 12 p.m. contest against Missouri on Sunday.
