NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma Sooners (5-7) return to action at the Headington Family Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon after a 10-day layoff.
OU hosts the Cameron Aggies at 1 p.m. followed by the Oklahoma Baptist Bison at 4 p.m.
"We are excited to get back on the court and face someone other than ourselves for the first time in 10 days and it is nice to be facing two in-state programs," head coach Paul Lockwood said.
OU was scheduled to travel to Jacksonville over spring break to face the Jacksonville Dolphins on March 20, but the match was cancelled due to an airline pilot shortage.
"The team was disappointed the Jacksonville trip was cancelled but it gave everyone a chance to take a break from tennis and enjoy spring break," Lockwood added.
Last season Oklahoma defeated both Cameron and OBU in Norman.
Oklahoma is ranked No. 62 in the March 18 release of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team rankings.
Sophomore Andrei Daescu is ranked No. 39 in the ITA singles rankings.
Next up, the Sooners travel to College Station, Texas, to open Big 12 play to against Texas A&M on Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m.
