Fraley Headed to U.S. Amateur on Hot Streak
August 11, 2005

NORMAN, Okla. University of Oklahoma senior Justin Fraley tied for third at the Collegiate Players Tour National Championship, Thursday, in Euless, Texas.

Drew Lethem of Overland Park, Kan., took medalist honors in the 68-player fied, shooting an even-par 210 over three rounds on the 6,762-yard, par-70 Texas Star Golf Course.

Fraley finished two back after firing rounds of 70, 70 and 72.

The postive result is just one of many recent good finishes for the Rowlett, Texas, native. Fraley tied for 26th during the stroke-play portion of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship in July, advancing to match play rounds, and dominated the U.S. Amateur qualifier at the TPC at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, on Aug. 1, winning by seven strokes.

Fraley and Sooner teammate Anthony Kim begin play for the U.S. Amateur Championship at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., on Aug. 22.
