NORMAN, Okla.-  The women’s tennis team will host its third consecutive home match at 2 p.m. Friday March 9 at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman. The Sooners, ranked No. 66, will go head-to-head with No. 35 Baylor.

OU has won its last two straight at home.  Last Saturday the team upset No. 53 Texas Tech, 4-3.  The Sooners followed that with a sweep of Oral Roberts on Sunday, their 11th consecutive sweep over the Golden Eagles.  Oklahoma is now 4-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.

Baylor arrives with a 6-5 overall mark and a 1-1 record in the Big 12, after dropping a 5-2 match to Colorado last Sunday.  The loss broke a 25-match winning streak for the Bears.

The two teams last met March 21, 2006 in Waco where OU fell 6-1.  This will be the 12th meeting for the two schools, with Oklahoma trailing in the overall series, 8-3.
