NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma wrestling team beat Missouri Valley by a score of 50-3 at the Howard McCasland Field House tonight. The Sooners recorded six falls, one technical fall, one decision and a forfeit en route to posting the second highest point total in school history (record is 52 set in 1922 against Kansas). Oklahoma's 47-point margin of victory ranks third on the all-time list.

"I was very pleased with our performance tonight," said head coach Jack Spates. "We were very agressive and that's something that we talked about prior to this match. We have to make sure that this carries over into the rest of the year. I was also very pleased with the pins tonight. That's something that we focus on and it's good to see it pay off."

Senior Bo Maynes began the match with a forfeit over Matt Brown at 125 pounds. Senior All-American Witt Durden recorded a 12-5 decision over Tyson Biddle in the 133-pound weight class to improve to 5-0 for the season.
