NORMAN, Okla .-- The 22nd-ranked University of Oklahoma volleyball team (12-3) rolled past Arkansas-Pine Bluff (-9, -14, -15) in a team effort Saturday afternoon.
The Sooners controlled from the opening serve and needed just over an hour to sweep past the Lady Lions. The entire match had five ties and just one lead change with four of the ties and the lead change coming in the second set.
Senior Suzy Boulavsky led the team with 12 kills and a .550 hitting percentage. Senior Caitlin Higgins followed with 10 kills.
Sophomore Eden Williams was the team leader in digs with 15. Higgins contributed four and senior Kylie Cowan had two. Five other Sooners each contributed one dig each.
Freshman Kaitlyn Drawe registered 15 assists, followed by Cowan with 11.
Freshman Grace Whitley had three block assists. Senior Carlee Roethlisberger and Sophomore Keila Rodriguez each had two. Boulavsky, Higgins and junior Morgan Reynolds contributed one block assist each. Reynolds also had one block solo.
As a team, the Sooners hit a .355 clip, led by Reynolds, who hit .583.
OU held Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a -.090 clip as a team. Michelle Fiala contributed three kills, Amber Miller had five assists and Destiny Gordon registered eight digs.
