NORMAN, Okla. - After inclement weather shortened Friday's first round of The Texas A&M "Mo" Morial, the University of Oklahoma women's golf team finished its opening 18 holes Saturday morning and recorded a 309 (+21) to stand in fifth place at the 6,255-yar, par-72 Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas.  The second round, which was scheduled to follow the conclusion of the first round Saturday morning, was cancelled due to the weather.

Texas A&M leads the 11-team tournament after shooting a first-round 290 (+2) and is followed by Tulane at 297 (+9) and Tulsa at 299 (+11).

Oklahoma junior Ellen Mueller fired an even-par first-round score and shares third place.  Mueller stands only two strokes back of Texas A&M's Julia Boland, who leads the tournament.

OU's Brooke Collins birdied on the third and 18th holes to record a first-round 75 (+3).  The sophomore is tied for eighth place.  Seniors Ryanne Elmer and Andrea Sellmeyer, and freshman Aly Seng carded matching 81's (+9).  The trio is tied for 36th.

The Sooners will resume play at the abbreviated 36-hole tournament on Sunday at 8 a.m. CT.
