NORMAN, Okla. - Lauren MacIver and Logan Womack scored for OU in the second half as the Sooners blanked visiting Missouri, 2-0, at John Crain Field Friday night.

Oklahoma (10-3-0, 3-1-0 Big 12) shut out its eighth opponent of the season and extended its home winning streak to eight games dating back to last year. The Sooners dealt Missouri (7-4-2, 2-2-1 Big 12) its first road loss and second Big 12 defeat. The Tigers were held scoreless for just the second time this season (Nebraska 4, Missouri 0 - Sept. 27).

Missouri outshot OU, 9-4, in the first half but neither team could get the ball in the net and the game was scoreless at the break.

In the second half, Sooner freshman Lauren MacIver (Tulsa, Okla.) scored her fourth goal of the season from 25 yards out past Mizzou keeper Stephanie Krawczyk at 63:42. MacIver leads all newcomers at OU with four goals and three assists on the season.

In the 74th minute, junior Logan Womack (Norman, Okla.) blasted the ball to the left corner of the Missouri box for her eighth goal of the season. With the score, Womack extended her school-record career goals total to 28.

OU goalkeeper Catherine Wade (Midland, Texas) recorded her sixth shutout of the season with eight saves on the night. Wade earned her 11th career shutout and tied Jana Cunningham (Tulsa, Okla.) for the Oklahoma career shutouts record.

The Sooners held a slim 15-14 lead in shots for the game while Missouri had four corner kicks to two for OU.

The Sooners travel to Lawrence, Kan., to face the Jayhawks on Sunday at 1 p.m. OU wraps up its 2002 home schedule next weekend against conference leaders Texas and Texas A&M before hitting the road for three-straight Big 12 road games.
