TEMPE, Ariz. -- The final game of a three-game set against No. 11 Arizona State was called at 1:10 (MT) time due to heavy rains in the Tempe area.

The game will not be made up and OU will look to add an extra game to this year's schedule and that contest could be added as early as this week.

No. 21 OU evened the series last night with a 15-8 victory after dropping a heartbreaking defeat on Friday in the ninth inning (8-7).

The rain began early Sunday morning and is expected to continue throughout most of the day.

The Sooners will get back into action next weekend with the start of Big 12 play.  OU will open the conference season at home against No. 18 Baylor.  The series starts on Friday at 7 p.m. on March 24 at L. Dale Mitchell Park.  Saturday's game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. first pitch and the series will conclude on Sunday at 1 p.m.
