LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team earned the season sweep over Texas Tech with a 3-1 win at United Supermarkets Arena on Wednesday night. The Sooners have won 24 of 25 against the Red Raiders and back-to-back Big 12 matches for the first time this season to improve to 7-18 overall and 4-8 in league play.

Junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) matched her career-high in kills with 26 as she hit at a .300 clip to lead the OU attack. She has posted double digit kill in 23 of 25 matches this season and added 13 digs for her 15th double-double of the year.

Oklahoma overcame an early deficit in the first and led by as many as six before Tech reached set-point first, but OU pulled out the win, 27-25. The Sooners then went on top two sets to none with a 25-21 win in the second.

The Red Raiders extended the match by hitting .304 in the third to win 25-19. Oklahoma dominated the fourth, 25-15, and hit .333 in the set.

Sooner junior outside hitter Madison Drescher (Southlake, Texas) was second among all players with 15 kills. Freshman middle blocker Paige Anderson (McKinney, Texas) hit a match-high .579 and was the third Sooner in double figures with 12 kills to go with five blocks.

Texas Tech’s offense was led by Allison White and Chandler Atwood at 13 kills apiece. White hit a team-high .458.

Defensively, OU was led by redshirt-junior libero Rachel Manriquez (Edmond, Okla.) and senior defensive specialist Emma Kelly (Houston, Texas) with 20 digs each. For Kelly, she bester her career-high for the second match in a row. Junior setter Audrey Alford (Norman, Okla.) guided the offense with 51 assists and chipped in 10 digs on the defensive side of the ball for her sixth double-double.

Red Raider libero Reyn Akiu picked up a team-leading 18 digs. Setter Missy Owens collected 42 assists, 11 digs, six kills and four blocks.

The Sooners are off this weekend before returning home to take on Iowa State on Wednesday, November 15 at 7 p.m.
