ATHENS, Ohio – Junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) posted a career-day for the University of Oklahoma volleyball team, but it wasn’t enough for the Sooners, who fell twice at the Bobcat Invitational. Enneking registered a double-double in each match and went for a career-high 26 kills in the nightcap. Her kill total was the most by a Sooner since Kierra Holst set the OU record in the 25-point, rally-scoring era with 32 against Iowa State in 2014.

Enneking led all players with 13 kills and added 10 digs. Junior Morgan Miller (Magnolia, Texas) made her first start at setter in an Oklahoma uniform and dished out 35 assists to go with seven digs.

Six HPU players posted five kills or more with Katie Tylman leading the way with nine on a .471 hitting percentage. Jenna Smith collected 22 assists, while Carly Jimenez added 12. Abby Bottomley recorded a match-high 17 digs.

The Sooners cruised through the first two sets against Ohio with wins of 25-19 and 25-20. Oklahoma led late in the third before the Bobcats came back for a 25-23 win to keep their night alive. Ohio put the match away with wins of 25-21 and 15-7 in the final two sets.

Enneking hit .314, while leading all players in kills for the second time on the day. She picked up a season-high 18 digs, while freshman libero Kira Morikawa (Honolulu) led the Sooners with 22. Senior defensive specialist Emma Kelly (Houston) chipped in with a career-high 15 digs.

Three Bobcat hitters finished in double digits for kills. Lizzie Stephens posted a team-leading 19 with 18 digs and five service aces. Tia Jimerson knocked down 16 kills and hit .452, while Carley Remmers tallied 13 kills.

For Oklahoma, Miller notched her first double-double of the season with 59 assists and 10 digs. Ohio setter Vera Giacomazzi netted a double-double of her own with 53 assists and 12 digs. Bobcat libero Macy Reihing led all players in digs with 25.
