(Spring) Did not compete during the spring due to injury … (Fall) Finished the fall at 1-2 in singles.

Junior (2016-17)
(Spring) Compiled a 10-12 record in singles and a 13-10 finish in doubles during spring dual play … Went 9-4 in doubles with partner Andrew Harris en route to the 2017 NCAA Doubles Champion, OU’s first-ever individual tennis championship ... as the No. 15 seed in the tournament, Papa and Harris took down the No. 23, No. 6, No. 3, No. 4 teams before defeating No. 1 and host team Georgia,6-4, 6-2, 1-0(6), for the title … Jumped from the No. 15 doubles team to No. 1 nationally in the final ITA release … 2017 ITA All-American in doubles … With Harris, became the first Sooners to be named to the 2017 ITA Collegiate All-Star team … Received a wildcard berth into the 2017 US Open doubles draw by virtue of winning the NCAA title … (Fall) In fall tournament play, finished runner-up in singles at the Southern Intercollegiate Championship … Recorded a second-place finish in doubles at the 2016 ITA Regional Championships with partner Alex Ghilea … With Ghilea, ended fall play tabbed No. 22 in the ITA doubles rankings.

(Spring) Finished the season 11-12 in singles dual play with a combined 14-14 singles record … Also went 15-9 in doubles dual play … Earned Second Team All-Academic Big 12 honors … Earned Player of the Week honors (April 6) thanks to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dominic Cotrone in the Sooners’ victory over USF and a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 defeat of No. 60 Marco Nunez in the Sooners win against 22nd-ranked Florida State … Helped take down Ohio State’s No. 13 doubles pairing of Martin Joyce and Ralf Steinbach, 6-4 … Helped the Sooners defeat No. 4 Virginia with his 7-6, 6-2 singles win over 47th-ranked Collin Altamirano … Was crucial in the Sooners’ win over No. 14 Cal in the BNP Paribas Open with a 6-3, 7-6 singles win over 37th-ranked Billy Griffith … Beat Texas’ No. 86 doubles-pairing of George Goldhoff and Julian Zlobinsky 6-4 in Oklahoma’s victory … topped No. 58 Gage Brymer of UCLA 6-3, 7-5 in the Sooners’ NCAA Championships quarterfinal victory …  Beat the 16th-ranked doubles team of Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Mac Styslinger of Virginia, 7-5, in the NCAA Championship match.

Freshman (2014-15)
(Spring) Finished the year 14-11 in singles with a 9-5 record at No. 5 singles during dual play … Finished with a combined mark of 14-15 in doubles play including a 10-9 mark at No. 2 doubles with partners Andrew Harris and Dane Webb … Picked up his first collegiate victory with a 6-4, 7-5 match-clinching win over Oliver Pramming of South Florida … Racked up three wins during the ITA National Indoor Championships, giving Oklahoma points in all of its first three matches of the tournament … Topped Will Stein of TCU in straight sets during the Sooners’ 4-1 regular season win over TCU … Picked up two more straight-sets wins during the Sooners’ following two matches with Texas and Tulsa … Went 4-1 in singles during the NCAA Championships … Tallied the Sooners’ only point in the NCAA final against Virginia with a quick 6-3, 6-2 win over Alexander Ritschard.
