The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team will wrap up its fall open practice schedule with the team's annual preseason intrasquad meet this Saturday, Dec. 7. The meet will take place from 4-6 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The intrasquad meet will be held at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center in Norman. The Viersen Center is located north of the Lloyd Noble Center by the intersection of S. Oklahoma will enter the 2014 season following an NCAA Runner-Up team finish at the 2013 NCAA Championships in Los Angeles, Calif. OU returns 12 members from last season's squad while adding five talented newcomers to the roster. Fans will have the opportunity to watch multiple All-America routines and meet with team members for autographs following the meet.
Saturday's meet will be the last opportunity for fans to catch the Sooners in preseason action. OU is set to open their 2014 slate at home on Friday, Jan. 10 against Georgia. Georgia is one of two NCAA Super Six teams and three NCAA competitor teams that will journey to the Lloyd Noble Center this season.
