Wide Receiver Lacoltan Bester
September 3, 2013

On the overthrown touchdown intended for him:
“I’m pretty sure we will get it corrected this week, so I’m sure I’ll get it back.”

On blocking:
“We work on blocking every day so that part truly comes easy to us because it’s something we work on. Most of us are best friends with the [running] backs so of course we are going to go hard to make sure they make big plays and go score on long runs.”

On if Trevor Knight’s slow start was uncharacteristic:
“I’m pretty sure that’s the only time that has happened. I’ve never seen Trevor do that so I don’t know if it’s the first game jitters or anything. He’s on point with everything that he does with mechanics and all of that. I’m pretty sure that he won’t let that happen again.”

On what the biggest change has been for him since this time last year:
“Playing. It feels good to be out on the field, being in front of the crowd. Not even just catching the ball but being on the field and blocking and making plays.”

On if he’s disappointed with the amount of looks he got Saturday:
“As long as we win, not too much of that matters. I’m sure that during the season I’m going to get a lot more opportunities. As long as we put points on the board and have more points than the other team I’m okay with it.”

On if the improved run game has opened up possibilities on the backside for big plays:
“They were doing that last year with those guys breaking holes for Damien [Williams] and Brennan [Clay]. They’re doing what they have been doing.”
