Ryan Broyles OU's 152nd All-American
NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles has been named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation. The team is selected in a vote of all Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors.
Broyles becomes Oklahoma's 152nd All-American. He joins Quinton Carter as an All-American on the 2010 Sooner team. The senior safety was selected by the American Football Coaches Association. Carter and OU defensive end Jeremy Beal, the Big 12's defensive lineman of the year, were second-team selections by the Camp Foundation.
Broyles ranks No. 2 nationally with 9.1 receptions per game and No. 4 in receiving yards per game at 111.7. On the season, he has 118 receptions for 1,452 yards and 13 touchdowns.
During the course of the 2010 campaign, he has established school records for receptions in a game, season and career, as well as receiving yards in a game, season and career and receiving touchdowns in a career.
Among players from BCS conferences, he is the active career leader in receptions, touchdown receptions, receiving yards and punt return yards.
