Sooners Swept on the Road by Mean Green

DENTON, Texas – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team was swept by North Texas at the North Texas Volleyball Center on Wednesday Night. The Mean Green finished the first set on a 5-0 run to win it 25-22 and capped off the match with 25-18 and 25-16 wins in the following two sets.

Amanda Chamberlain led all players with 14 kills and hit .478 with seven blocks. Holly Milam added 12 kills on a .706 attack rate as she player error-free on 17 attempts. The Sooner attack was led by junior outside hitter Madison Drescher (Southlake, Texas) with 10 kills.

North Texas setter Karley York dished out 33 assists and Henrianna Ibara picked up a team-high nine digs. OU junior setter Morgan Miller (Magnoalia, Texas) guided the Sooner offense with 28 assists, while junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) and redshirt-junior libero Rachel Manriquez (Edmond, Okla.) each totaled nine digs.

Oklahoma jumps back into Big 12 play Saturday against Baylor at 2 p.m. in Waco.
